Universities follow government regulated standards of qualifications, which means that degrees from Australian institutions have international recognition of the education level it represents. Assessment of applications can take up to a month - if the university decides to offer you a place in their course, they will send you a letter of offer with information about fees and enrolment. If you decide to accept this offer, then write to the university accepting their offer and pay the fees.
When the offer has been accepted the university will send a letter confirming your enrolment.
This official confirmation of enrolment is then required to apply for a student visa to Australia.
